iFOSSF Cooperation Opportunities

We identify opportunities where it has potential to achieve iFOSSF's vision and simultaneously strengthen the role of FOSS in social and economical development. Grant opportunities are funds provided by 3rd party (funder) who has issued a RFP (request for proposal) where iFOSSF is interested to pursue. Of course you or your organization can pursue directly with the funder if qualified, iFOSSF is not acting as a mediator but a lead organization who will submit the proposal in collaboration with iFOSSF members and partners.

For each grant opportunity, iFOSSF goes through the following cycle:

1. Open call – identify potential partners and topics
2. Evaluation – base on the input received, we will decide whether to proceed with the opportunity and methods of co-operation.
3. Team assembly – select project members, establish Letter of Intend (LOI)
4. Proposal development & review
5. Proposal submission
6. If project is awarded, the opportunity will move to Project Management Cycle according to grantor's guidelines

In most cases, iFOSSF will serve as the Lead organization to ensure proposals are aligned with our strategic program directions and to provide assistance in the proposal development and budget planning, in some cases we may ask one of the partners to be the lead organization if it deemed appropriate.

Please note, RFP open calls are for individuals or organizations who has strong domain expertise that can work independently. For larger projects, if awarded, most likely we will have additional Project Open Calls to engage community members for the actual project implementation.
